Custom Wedding Invitation Suite
Art Direction & Visual Storytelling
Project Description
This invitation suite was commissioned to encapsulate the couple’s unique cultural identities, aesthetic preferences, and personal narrative through a deeply considered visual language. My role spanned the full scope of art direction, illustration, and print production, resulting in a cohesive communication system that extended across all printed materials.
We leaned into their chosen florals, sunflower and thistle, not just for their visual contrast but for what they symbolized: bold joy and quiet strength. That idea carried into the color palette as well: vibrant yellows played against rich purples, creating a dialogue of opposites that felt unexpectedly harmonious.
The design process was iterative and collaborative, involving detailed moodboarding, prototyping, and feedback loops with the clients to ensure emotional resonance and clarity of message. Each element, from the save-the-date to the RSVP card, was treated as a moment of connection. Hand-drawn floral motifs were paired with clean, classic Serrif type, playful layouts were grounded with thoughtful negative space. The final outcome is an Invitation that invites recipients into the atmosphere of the day itself, layered, and unmistakably personal.
